8.14 태국 남부 얄라주에서 또 폭탄 테러… 부상자 없어

태국 남부에서 14일(현지시간)에도 폭탄 테러가 발생했지만 부상자는 없었다고 방콕포스트가 보도했다.
이날 저녁 남부 얄라주에서는 3차례 폭탄이 폭발했다. 부상자는 없다. 경찰은 후아힌과 푸껫의 관광 중심지에도 폭탄이 설치된 것을 발견해 해체했다고 밝혔다. 폭탄은 모두 폭발력이 약하다는 점에서 살상보다는 사회불안을 고조시키는 목적으로 설치된 것으로 보인다.

경찰은 11~12일 서남부 지역에서 발생한 연쇄 폭탄테러와 이번 폭탄테러가 연관됐는지 조사 중이라고 밝혔다. 11~12일 후아힌과 푸켓 등 남부 7개주에서 발생한 13차례 폭탄테러와 5차례의 방화로 4명이 목숨을 잃고 35명이 부상당했다.
경찰은 사회불안을 증폭시키려는 반정부 세력으로 배후를 추정했지만 이슬람 신자가 많은 남부지역의 분리주의 세력과의 연관성도 배제하지 않고 수사를 진행하고 있다.
AFP 통신은 13일 태국군 소식통을 인용해 남부 트랑주, 나콘시탐마랏주, 파탈룽주의 이슬람 유력 정치인 여러 명이 수도 방콕에 있는 군 시설로 끌려가 신문을 받고 있다고 보도했다.
쁘라윳 찬오차 총리는 연쇄 테러사건 때문에 15일부터 이틀간의 말레이지아 방문 일정을 하루로 줄였다. 총리실은 두 정상이 양국의 경제협력, 국경지역 치안과 대테러 협조방안을 논의할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

YALA -- Three home-made bombs exploded at separate spots in Yaha district on Sunday night, but caused no casualties, police said.
The first bomb went off about 7.30pm in front of a gold shop in the district town, damaging the shop's signboard.
About five minutes afterward, the second bomb exploded at a stationery shop on Pipat Thani road. The third occurred about five minutes later in front of a newspaper shop opposite Yala police station.
No-one was hurt in the three explosions.
Police said two suspicious objects were also found near where the blasts occurred. The spot was sealed off, for a bomb disposal team to examine the objects on Monday morning.
On Monday morning, an explosive ordnance disposal team was despatched to the scene to examine the two objects.
The first object was cylinder-shaped and contained a home-made bomb weighing about 5 kilogrammes. The bomb was timed to explode at 7.45pm but failed to function. It was moved to a field in front of the Yaha district office and destroyed.
The other object found in front of the gold shop was also a bomb. The team defused it.
태국의 폭탄테러와 관련해서 사실만 전달드리고 싶을뿐 위험을 과장하거나 축소하고 싶은 의도가 없습니다. 8.11일 부터 시작됬던 테러는 14일까지 있었고 15일에는 없었던걸로 압니다.
