Govt extends holiday until Friday

The cabinet on Tuesday extended the two-day public holiday for government offices in Bangkok by another three days -- from Wednesday to Friday, deputy government spokesman Supachai Jaisamut said.
The extension of public holiday will give authorities more time to resolve the crisis, he said.
The government earlier declared Monday and Tuesday of this week as public service holidays, as the violence and street battles continue in the capital.
