Golden Panda Card
Before December 31, 2009, tourists from outside Sichuan Province can enter the 11 key state-owned scenic spots with golden panda cards and valid ID for free admissions, and they can also enjoy comprehensive favors for consumption at member units of the “best tourism union”. The golden panda-card holders will be asked to show valid ID (personal ID, passport, military officer certificate, police officer certificate, and soldier certificate) when entering scenic spots.
Silver Panda Card
Before December 31, 2009, tourists of Sichuan Province will enjoy 50% discount for tickets of the 11 key state-owned scenic spots and corresponding discount for consumption at member units of the “best tourism union”. They will be asked to swipe the silver panda card when entering scenic spots.
How to get the Golden Panda Card
For foreigners, just go to Chengdu and get your card there. They have 15,000,000 cards for you, so you don’t have to worry about availability. But here are what you need to know:
1. Passport: One passport can get only one Golden Panda Card.
2. Fee: Only 1.00RMB/ Per Card
3. Remember taking the Golden Panda Card (obviously) along with your registered passport when you go to
scenic spots.
4. You can use the card before December 31 2009. There are 11 scenic spots in total, and your card only
waives entry ticket one time per scenic spot.
